Kelly Clarkson expected a simple shopping trip in Brooklyn.
Instead, she walked away feeling insulted—and within days, the encounter had turned into a very public dispute between the singer and a small specialty shop.
Clarkson visited Art of Play in Brooklyn on October 10, 2026, after apparently spotting several items she was interested in purchasing.
But according to the singer, the experience quickly went wrong.
In a post on X, Clarkson said she had driven all the way to Brooklyn specifically to visit the store and already had several purchases in mind.
