Michael J. Fox has spent decades facing a disease that changed nearly every part of his life. But through the uncertainty, physical challenges, career changes, and difficult moments, one person has remained beside him: his wife, Tracy Pollan.
Their love story began long before Parkinson’s disease became part of their lives.
Fox and Pollan first met in 1985 when they worked together on the hit sitcom Family Ties, where Pollan played the girlfriend of Fox’s character, Alex P. Keaton. Their relationship was platonic at the time, but things changed when they reunited while working on Bright Lights, Big City.
They eventually fell in love, and on July 16, 1988, they married.
Only a few years later, their lives changed dramatically.
