He entered the screening room simply to observe, but gradually began tapping his foot to the rhythm of each song, applauding after each performance, and finally shedding tears. Jordan Davis and Lauren Daigle Lead a Star-Studded Night as Hosts of CMA Country Christmas

This year’s CMA Country Christmas brought holiday cheer to millions as country hitmaker Jordan Davis and Grammy-winning Christian artist Lauren Daigle took the reins as co-hosts. The annual festive special aired December 2 on ABC and is now available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

The show first revealed its full lineup on November 5 — and the announcement made clear that 2024’s installment would be one of the most musically diverse yet. Alongside Davis and Daigle, performers included Lady A, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and Bebe Winans.

A Night of Performances — and Hosting Duties — for Jordan Davis

Davis appeared throughout the evening to introduce artists, share holiday moments, and keep the night flowing with his signature warmth and humor. But he also stepped into the spotlight for one major performance that fans won’t soon forget.

Jordan Davis Joins Little Big Town for a Powerful Christmas Classic

Little Big Town — Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet — took the stage earlier in the night to deliver a gorgeous, harmony-rich rendition of Merle Haggard’s bittersweet “If We Make It Through December.” Their performance captured the emotion of the classic, setting the tone for a night full of musical highlights.

Later, Davis joined the quartet for a fresh take on “Go Tell It On the Mountain.” With Davis handling lead vocals and LBT surrounding him with their unmistakable four-part harmonies, the performance struck the perfect balance of reverence and energy. It became one of the standout moments of the night — beautifully arranged, vocally strong, and instantly replayable.

The collaboration served as the next-to-last performance of the show and left a lasting impression. It’s easy to imagine country fans returning to this rendition for many Christmases to come.
