Jelly Roll Is on a Mission to Transform His Health — and His Life
In late 2022, Jelly Roll made a life-altering decision. At nearly 540 pounds, the Nashville star realized it was time for change — not just for his body, but for his life as a whole. Known for being open about his struggles, Jelly vowed to share his entire fitness journey publicly with fans, using honesty and vulnerability as his motivation.
“I wanna have one of the biggest transformations,” he said on his wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde Podcast. “I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people.”
Setting Big Goals
While Jelly hasn’t revealed his exact target weight, he told Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year that he has “a number in mind” — and some very specific goals tied to it.
“To do all the fun stuff in life, you’ve got to be under 250,” he explained. “So my goal is to skydive, ride a roller coaster, ride a bull, wrestle an alligator, and more. I’ve got a list of things I want to do.”
Determined to reach those goals without shortcuts, Jelly overhauled his lifestyle — committing to better nutrition, regular exercise, and guidance from health professionals. His determination has paid off: as of mid-2025, he’s lost nearly 250 pounds.

From a 540-pound performer to a man chasing roller coasters, marathons, and mountain peaks — Jelly Roll’s evolution proves that with heart, humor, and hard work, no goal is out of reach.
Congratulations, Jelly Roll — here’s to the next chapter of your transformation.
