4-Year-Old Amelia Wigger Goes Viral Singing Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo”

From the small town of Viburnum, Missouri (population 600), 4-year-old Amelia Wigger has captured hearts nationwide after a video of her singing Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo” went viral — earning praise from the country star herself.

From Tiny Town Pageant to Internet Stardom

Every year, Amelia’s hometown hosts a Tiny Tot Pageant during its fall festival for preschoolers to show off their talents. Last year, she won the crown by shooting a bow and arrow at a fake deer. This year, she returned to retire her crown — and to perform live for the first time.

“She said she wasn’t scared or nervous at all!” said her mom, Averie, who shared how proud the family was of Amelia’s courage.

Despite being only four, Amelia sang the dreamy mid-tempo song — which pays homage to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” — with surprising confidence and heart.

    A True Lainey Wilson Superfan

Amelia’s love for Lainey Wilson runs deep.

“She’s been singing since she could hum along to songs at a year old,” her mom explained. “I swear she can hear a song one time and know the lyrics almost immediately! She knows every song on the Whirlwind album.”

To make her performance even more special, Amelia dressed like her idol — wearing pink bell bottoms, a matching cowboy hat, a western belt, a Lainey Wilson tee, and a fringe vest.

“She says Lainey has blonde hair like her and rides horses like her and she wants to be just like her when she grows up,” Averie added.

    Lainey Wilson Responds

The proud mom uploaded Amelia’s performance to TikTok, and it quickly took off — earning over 100,000 views and hundreds of supportive comments.

The biggest moment came when Lainey Wilson herself commented, writing:

    “Superstar!! Killlllllled it sister 💖”

Wilson later reshared the video on her Instagram story, helping even more fans discover Amelia’s talent.

“When Lainey first commented, we almost cried,” Averie said. “When she reposted it, we were shaking with excitement. When I told Millie, she said, ‘Mom, you mean real Lainey Wilson?’ It was so funny and surreal.”

    Living Her Dream

Now, Amelia is about to experience the thrill of seeing her hero in person. On October 16, she’ll attend Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour stop at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis — her first concert ever.

“A friend of mine scored us six general admission tickets,” Averie shared. “I can’t wait to watch her experience this all and take it in!”

From a tiny Missouri pageant stage to becoming a viral TikTok sensation, Amelia Wigger is already proving that big dreams can start small. And when she sings along with Lainey Wilson for the first time this week, it’s sure to be a memory she’ll carry for a lifetime.
