The Minneapolis shooting night wasn’t the beginning — but the end of a hidden chain of events, where the biggest question remains: who decided when it ended, and why?

He entered the screening room simply to observe, but gradually began tapping his foot to the rhythm of each song, applauding after each performance, and finally shedding tears. Riley Green Opens Up About His Dating Struggles, Mispronounced Wine, and a Heart That Can’t Catch a Break

Riley Green Says He’s Still Single — But Fans Aren’t So Sure

Country star Riley Green is closing out a career-defining year — wrapping his 2025 tour, celebrating the release of his Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe Edition), and continuing his steady rise as one of the genre’s most recognizable voices. But despite his success, it’s his love life that has fans talking once again.

    “They’re All Leaving”

During a recent interview with Cody Alan on SiriusXM’s The Highway, the 36-year-old “Different ’Round Here” singer confirmed he’s still single. When asked what song best describes his dating life, Riley laughed and answered:

“Let’s just do, ‘Settle for a Slowdown.’ They’re all leaving.”

The song, originally by Dierks Bentley, is about holding onto someone who’s already halfway out the door — a pretty self-deprecating choice for someone who’s constantly the subject of dating rumors.

Scrambled Eggs and “Southern Blonde” Wine

Green went on to share what he finds most attractive in a potential partner — and his answer was surprisingly humble.

“The hottest thing? Probably scrambled eggs,” he said. “You can mess it up, you know? You can a little bit.”

He also admitted he sometimes gets tripped up trying to order wine on a date, joking that he’s mispronounced Francis Coppola as “Frankie Coppola,” and refers to Sauvignon Blanc as “Southern Blonde.”

“Honestly,” he said, laughing, “someone should make that a real wine.”

    Fans Remain Skeptical

Despite his insistence that he’s single, fans aren’t entirely convinced. Over the years, Riley has been romantically linked — at least in rumor — to Ella Langley, his “You Look Like You Love Me” duet partner, and Megan Moroney, though he’s always denied both.

The Alabama native has rarely gone public with past relationships, preferring to keep his personal life out of the spotlight. Still, with his charm, confidence, and Southern swagger, it’s safe to assume he hasn’t been short on romantic attention.

    New Music On The Horizon

Riley also teased that he’s already gearing up to record his next studio album.

“We’re in the studio about to start cutting songs for the next record,” he told Alan. “It kind of doesn’t slow down when you have something that works. The most fun part is writing and recording, but it’s a balance — keeping motivated without forcing it.”

If his recent releases are any indication, fans can expect another round of songs blending traditional country storytelling with modern energy — and maybe, just maybe, a few new love songs inspired by whatever he’s not admitting to yet.

Cowboy As It Gets 2026 Tour

Riley Green will hit the road again next year with his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, kicking off April 16th, 2026, in Southaven, MS, and running through August 22nd with stops in major cities including Nashville, Charlotte, Holmdel, Salt Lake City, and Bristow.

With new music on the way and another massive tour lined up, Riley might not have time to “settle for a slowdown” — but his fans definitely won’t be slowing down their obsession with his every move.
