Gavin Adcock Responds After Zach Bryan Fence-Jumping Incident
The Born & Raised Festival Confrontation

This past weekend, country star Zach Bryan made headlines after hopping over a barbed wire fence at Born & Raised Fest in Pryor, Oklahoma, seemingly to confront fellow artist Gavin Adcock. Security intervened before any punches were thrown, but the bizarre scene instantly went viral.

The tension stemmed from Adcock criticizing Bryan’s behavior toward fans online and later doubling down in a Rolling Stone interview, saying he didn’t believe Bryan was “a very good guy.” The feud escalated when Bryan joined Gabriella Rose’s set at the festival and publicly called Adcock out from the stage.

Gavin Explains Why He Didn’t Engage

Adcock later explained his side, making it clear he had no interest in fighting before his own headlining set:

“Had a headline show to play. Dude was absolutely wasted. Had to do what was good for the fans. Everybody knows how that woulda ended.”

    He added in another post:

“Had a show to play for Oklahoma. Wasn’t going to jail over that psycho.”

Adcock framed his decision as one of professionalism, saying no artist who values their fans would risk a fight and canceling a set over personal drama.

    “Dude Needs Help”

Adcock didn’t hold back in his comments afterward, even trolling Bryan with a TikTok captioned: “Dude needs help.”

He also gave more context about Bryan’s behavior that day, claiming Bryan had spent time going around the festival asking where Adcock was and flipping off other artists’ guests. According to Adcock, the fence jump was a staged move to “look tougher,” since Bryan had been inside the festival all day with security and could’ve simply walked through the gate.

    No Fear, Just Strategy

Despite being accused of backing down, Adcock insists he was never afraid:

“I wasn’t even mad. Didn’t even have a single reason to fight him. … Fighting him would have only meant going to jail, missing my set, and falling into a Zach Bryan lawsuit. And we all know he likes to manipulate people with money.”
