When Does Season 28 of The Voice Start?
Premiere Date & Where to Watch
Season 28 of The Voice kicks off on Monday, September 22. Fans can catch the premiere on NBC at 8/7c, or stream episodes the following day on Peacock.
Who Are the Coaches?
This season features four returning coaches:
Reba McEntire – the Queen of Country returns after a successful run.
Michael Bublé – crooner extraordinaire with his soulful expertise.
Niall Horan – the former One Direction star and fan-favorite coach.
Snoop Dogg – the only coach yet to score a win, which makes him extra determined to take home the crown this season.
A Game-Changing New Rule
For the first time ever, longtime host Carson Daly gets some real say in the competition. He’s been given the new “Carson Callback” card — the power to bring back one no-chair contestant and give them a second chance at the blind auditions.
Coaches’ Collaboration: “The Joker”
Ahead of the premiere, the coaches carried on tradition by uniting for a special performance. This season, they covered the Steve Miller Band’s classic “The Joker.”
The video, released September 19, shows the four coaches backstage before taking the stage to roaring applause. Reba kicked things off before Snoop, Michael, and Niall joined in, their chemistry shining through with smiles and playful energy.
The groovy, crowd-pleasing performance perfectly set the tone for the upcoming season — fun, unpredictable, and full of star power.
👉 Season 28 is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. With a fresh twist, superstar coaches, and a new chance for hopefuls, the stage is set for an unforgettable competition.
