Morgan Wallen Honors Charlie Kirk’s Widow During Edmonton Concert
Country superstar Morgan Wallen paused his show in Edmonton on Friday to pay tribute to Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed earlier in the week in Utah.
Midway through his set, Wallen stopped to speak directly to the crowd:
“I’m not gonna say a whole bunch on this, but this song right here has been hitting me harder in the last couple days. I just wanted to let Erika Kirk know that me and my family are sending prayers her way.”

He then dedicated his song “I’m a Little Crazy” to Erika and the Kirk family, asking fans to sing along. The audience erupted in support as Wallen delivered the track with visible emotion, his performance carrying the weight of grief and solidarity.
The Tragedy in Utah
Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot once in the neck on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University during his American Comeback Tour. The attack unfolded in front of a live audience, shocking the campus and sending ripples through the political world.
Authorities quickly launched a manhunt for the suspect, identified as Tyler Robinson. He was later arrested after FBI officials confirmed he entered the university just before noon wearing all black, minutes before the fatal attack.
Wallen’s heartfelt moment on stage added to the growing list of tributes pouring in nationwide — from political leaders to music stars — all honoring Charlie Kirk’s life and offering prayers for his grieving wife and young children.
Last night @MorganWallen sent a tribute out to Charlie Kirk and his family. The Edmonton crowd was very touched by the gesture.
Political violence is never the answer, even if members of @WabKinew’s government think otherwise.
