Jelly Roll has hit a major milestone in his weight-loss journey — dropping 200 pounds — and he’s not slowing down.
The 40-year-old country star shared the news during a surprise visit to the Tennessee Titans’ training camp, where lifelong fan and Nashville native Jelly Roll was invited to speak by head coach Brian Callahan. Addressing the team, he joked, “I can’t get on the field… but I’m getting close. I lost 200 pounds. I told Coach I’m getting a contract if I lose another 50,” earning cheers from the players.
Since starting his health transformation in December 2022, Jelly Roll has been candid about the ups and downs. In April, he told fans he had gone from 540 pounds to 357, and in May he admitted the biggest battle wasn’t the gym — it was food. Comparing his past relationship with eating to his former struggles with drug addiction, he said, “If you’re really battling obesity, you got to start at the dinner table… The walking’s great, but you got to fight that addiction at the dinner table.”
The “Save Me” singer has kept up a rigorous routine, mixing walking, basketball, and boxing into his tour schedule, and passing the 100-pound mark by October 2024. He’s shared his progress publicly on purpose, determined to be transparent with fans rather than disappearing until the transformation was complete. “I wanted to lose it in front of everybody… I want to bring people along with me,” he explained on wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast.
Now, Jelly Roll has his sights set on an even bigger goal — shedding another 100 pounds and landing on the cover of Men’s Health by March 2026. And if he hits that target, there might just be a skydive with his wife to celebrate.
