Alex Pretti was hospitalized with unexplained broken ribs, left in silence, and then began to realize he was being watched. Shady meetings, cars appearing at the right times, and internal reports only revealed after his death. The Minneapolis shooting night wasn’t the beginning — but the end of a hidden chain of events, where the biggest question remains: who decided when it ended, and why?

    • More than half a century later, Neil Diamond himself was left speechless when he heard his songs playing in Song Sung Blue. He entered the screening room simply to observe, but gradually began tapping his foot to the rhythm of each song, applauding after each performance, and finally shedding tears. The most shocking moment came when he turned and asked, “When will it be shown again?” It wasn’t a loud, boisterous compliment, but the genuine reaction of a legend realizing that the music he wrote was still alive. And that’s what silenced the entire room.
    • “THEY SHOUTED ‘HE’S GOT A GUN’ — AND THEN TWO FEDERAL GUNS EXPLODED IN THE STRUGGLE.” In a chilling flash on a Minneapolis street, what began as a confrontation quickly spiraled into a violent clash that left a man dead and the nation shaken. Two CBP agents fired their service weapons as bodies tangled and chaos unfolded, captured from multiple angles and now being replayed in gripping detail. Fear, confusion and desperation pulsed through every second — like a scene ripped from We Own This City colliding with real-world dread. Witnesses, videos, and official reports paint a haunting picture of a struggle that turned lethal in an instant, leaving questions burning hotter than the gunfire that echoed through the cold morning air. Adding to the heartbreak surrounding Brandon Blackstock’s passing, his 23-year-old daughter, Savannah Blackstock Lee, revealed earlier this summer that she is expecting her second child.

The news surfaced just weeks before relatives confirmed that Blackstock — who was married to Kelly Clarkson from 2013 to 2022 — had died at the age of 48 after a three-year battle with cancer.

In a July Instagram post, Savannah, a Florida-based real estate professional, shared that she and her husband, Quentin Lee, had been “keeping a couple sweet surprises.” She revealed that they are expecting a baby girl in early January, joining their daughter Julianna, who she called “one of the greatest blessings to our family.”

Expressing her faith, Savannah wrote, “The Lord has been so faithful. He’s written a story we never could’ve imagined, and His kindness in this season has left us in awe. He’s answered prayers we never even knew how to pray. This journey has been so special — full of peace, excitement, and so much grace. We’re growing again, and our hearts are so full. Thank you, Jesus.”

Savannah, who is Blackstock’s daughter with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth, is also mother to a three-year-old son named Lake. Blackstock and Ashworth, married from 2001 to 2012, also share a 19-year-old son, Seth. Blackstock later welcomed two more children — River, 10, and Remington, 8 — with Clarkson.

Following Blackstock’s death, his family released a statement: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

On August 6, Clarkson announced she was postponing the remainder of her August Studio Sessions in Las Vegas, citing the need to be fully present for her children during the family’s difficult time.

“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” she wrote. “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness, and understanding.”

A source told People that Clarkson is “devastated” by her ex-husband’s death, adding that she remained protective of him for the sake of their children. The source noted that “it became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well” and that Clarkson has been deeply concerned for her kids during the ordeal.

Clarkson, winner of the first season of American Idol, is known for hits including “A Moment Like This,” “Since U Been Gone,” and “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
