Carly Pearce Joins Riley Green for Surprise Duet at 2025 iHeart Country Summit
Attendees at the 2025 iHeart Country Summit in Nashville were treated to an unexpected moment when Carly Pearce joined Riley Green on stage for an acoustic performance of his song “Don’t Mind If I Do.”
The private event, attended by radio professionals and industry members, saw Green performing favorites like “Worst Way” and the title track of his latest album. Since the song was originally recorded as a duet with Ella Langley, who couldn’t be there, Pearce stepped in to take her place.

Wearing his signature boots, jeans, button-down shirt, and cowboy hat, Green began the ballad solo, strumming his guitar and showcasing his gritty vocals. Pearce entered partway through, her voice blending seamlessly with his as they told the emotional story of two people struggling to move on.
The pair’s harmonies carried through the heartfelt chorus:
“And I don’t mind if I do / Drink up the nerve and show up at your house / If you wanna know the truth, it’s killin’ me not holdin’ you right now / I’m one memory away from fallin’ all the way apart / ’Cause I might still love you / And I hope you don’t mind if I do.”
After the final note, they shared a hug before Pearce exited the stage, leaving Green to close out his set.
Fans React
Clips from the performance quickly circulated on social media, with fans praising their chemistry. “I never knew I needed this but I’m on the floor about it,” one wrote. Another suggested, “These two should do a duet.”
