Riley Green and Ella Langley Go Platinum Again with “Don’t Mind If I Do”
Riley Green and Ella Langley have struck platinum once more, this time with their heartfelt duet “Don’t Mind If I Do.” The nostalgic track, which explores the remnants of a past romance, has officially been certified platinum by the RIAA, marking over one million units sold and solidifying its status as a standout collaboration in today’s country music scene.
This marks the Alabama-born duo’s second platinum achievement, following their previous hit “You Look Like You Love Me.” Both songs reveal a creative chemistry that fans have embraced—grounded in emotional storytelling, rich harmonies, and a shared Southern sensibility.
The origins of “Don’t Mind If I Do” are as organic as the song itself. The collaboration took shape while Green and Langley were touring together, with Green originally envisioning it as a duet and inviting Langley to lay down a reference vocal.
“Ella was out on the road with us, and that’s really how these things come together,” Green explained. “I had the song written as a duet, and I just asked her to come by the studio to help us get a female vocal on it. After hearing her sing it, it was clear—no one else could do it better.”
Langley, who continues to rise in the country music world, shared that her creative connection with Green made the collaboration effortless. “I’ve done a few duets now, and for me, it always comes down to the relationship. It’s about creating with someone you genuinely enjoy being around. That’s the magic of what we get to do.”
“Don’t Mind If I Do” appears on Green’s third studio album and continues to climb both the streaming charts and radio airwaves, connecting with listeners through its authenticity and heartfelt delivery.
With another platinum plaque to their names, Riley Green and Ella Langley have proven once again that when the right voices and stories come together, the result is something fans will hold onto.
