When Texas Hurts, Texas Shows Up — And It Plays Loud
Some concerts are about the music. This one’s about something more.
On August 17, Texas will do what it does best—stand tall for its own. In the wake of historic flooding that devastated the Hill Country over the Fourth of July weekend, some of the Lone Star State’s most beloved voices are coming together to help the recovery the only way Texans know how: with grit, heart, and a whole lot of country.
Band Together Texas, a benefit concert at Austin’s Moody Center, is more than a lineup—it’s a mission. Leading the charge are Texas icons Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum, joining forces for a night of healing, hope, and hard-hitting performances.
They’ll be backed by an all-star roster: Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Lyle Lovett, Wade Bowen, Ryan Bingham, Jack Ingram, Lukas Nelson, Dylan Gossett, Jon Randall, and the Randy Rogers Band. This isn’t a festival—it’s a Texas-sized rally cry. Add appearances by Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Vince Young, Colt McCoy, Mack Brown, Roger Clemens, and Emmanuel Acho, and you’ve got a cultural moment for the history books.
This is more than entertainment. It’s a declaration: Texas takes care of its people.
The floods claimed over 130 lives and left dozens missing. Homes were lost. Roads washed away. Communities shattered. But from that devastation rose something unshakable: Texas resilience. Band Together Texas will channel that spirit straight into action, with all proceeds going to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.
McCollum, a Conroe native, called the destruction “truly heartbreaking,” adding: “There’s a long road ahead, but we’re Texas strong.” Lambert echoed the sentiment: “We show up for one another. That’s what Band Together is about. Texans helping Texans.”
And they mean it.
When country music meets tragedy, it does what it’s always done—turns pain into purpose. These artists bring the kind of raw, soul-stirring storytelling that doesn’t just entertain—it uplifts. Expect a night of tears, cheers, and some of the most powerful performances you’ll see all year.
Presale registration is open now at BandTogetherTexas.com, through Monday, July 21, at 5 p.m. CT. Presale passwords go out Tuesday, and presale begins Wednesday, July 23, at 10 a.m. CT. General sale opens Friday, July 25.
No marketing gimmicks. No polished scripts. Just boots on the ground, guitars in hand, and hearts wide open. This is country music at its best—standing up when it counts.
So mark your calendars for August 17, lace up your boots, and come ready to sing, cry, and give back. Because in Texas, when disaster strikes, we don’t just pray.
We play. And we play loud.
