Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 — Wife Sky Daily Shares Heartfelt Tribute
The world of professional wrestling is in mourning following the sudden passing of legendary star Hulk Hogan. The larger-than-life figure, born Terry Gene Bollea, died on the morning of July 24th at age 71.
Paramedics were dispatched to his Clearwater, Florida home after reports of cardiac arrest. Hogan was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., as confirmed by Clearwater Police Major Nate Burnside in a somber press conference.
Hogan’s impact on pop culture and sports was monumental. A household name since the 1980s, he was a 12-time world champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. His charisma, catchphrases, and unmatched presence defined an era.
He is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and his two children, Brooke and Nick.
Sky Daily Shares Her Pain: “He Was My Terry”
Just one day after the news shook fans worldwide, Sky Daily, Hogan’s wife, broke her silence with a deeply emotional message.
In her statement, Sky revealed that Hogan had been quietly battling physical pain and ongoing health concerns—struggles he tried to manage with quiet strength.
“I thought we still had more time,” she wrote. “To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. My partner. My heart.”
Daily went on to say that the suddenness of his passing has left her in shock, struggling to accept the reality of life without him.
Faith Through Grief
The couple found spiritual solace together in 2023, when they were baptized as a couple—an experience Sky now leans on for comfort.
“He believed in Christ,” she shared, “and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and that he’s been welcomed home.”
