Ella Langley Confirms Next Album Will Arrive in 2026

Rising country-rock artist Ella Langley has officially confirmed that fans will have to wait until 2026 for her next full-length album. While the news may come as a disappointment to some, most are embracing her decision to take the time she needs to craft something meaningful.

Taking Her Time — For the Right Reasons
After a breakout year in 2024—marked by the release of her fiery debut Excuse the Mess, high-profile festival appearances, and a standout duet with Riley Green on “You Look Like You Love Me”—Langley has quickly emerged as one of country music’s boldest new voices. But instead of rushing a follow-up, the Alabama native is focused on growth and authenticity.

In a recent interview and through a series of Instagram stories, Langley revealed that she’s currently immersed in writing and recording. “It’s more about getting it right than getting it fast,” she shared during a post-show Q&A at London’s Highways Festival. “I’ve changed a lot since the first record—emotionally, musically, and as a woman. This next one has to reflect that. I’m not rushing something that means everything to me.”

What to Expect From Her 2026 Project
Though the album is still a year out, those close to Langley say fans can expect a more evolved version of her signature sound—still gritty and unfiltered, but with a deeper emotional pull. She’s reportedly leaning into more acoustic arrangements while keeping the Southern rock spirit alive.

Collaborations are also in the works. Riley Green is expected to be involved again, and Langley has teased a duet with a “female outlaw” artist she admires. One early song previewed on social media—possibly titled “Backseat Confessions”—features Langley solo with a guitar, reflecting on quiet regrets and road-trip memories at sunrise.

Singles and Tours to Hold Fans Over
Though the album won’t drop in 2025, Langley won’t be staying quiet. She’s set to release a stripped-down ballad this August, followed by a high-energy, barroom-inspired single later in the fall. She’ll also continue touring across the South and Midwest, with notable stops including Red Rocks and the Houston Rodeo.

Meanwhile, her current duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me,” continues climbing the country charts. The track was recently named one of the Grand Ole Opry’s “100 Greatest Country Songs” of the 2010s–2020s—solidifying her place as one of country music’s most exciting rising stars.
