Tim McGraw Returns to the Stage After a Year—Joined by His Daughters for a Heartfelt Reunion Performance

After a full year away from the spotlight due to multiple surgeries, Tim McGraw made a powerful return to the stage at the Music City Rodeo in Nashville—and it became an unforgettable family moment.

The country icon was joined on stage by his three daughters, Gracie (28), Maggie (23), and Audrey (26), for a moving rendition of “Last Dollar (Fly Away).” The performance marked the first time the family had sung the song together since 2007, when the girls were just children. Back then, they had lent their voices to the original recording—now, all three have blossomed into musicians in their own right.

Audrey McGraw later shared a photo from the performance on Instagram Stories, writing, “Crying. Love y’all so much. We sang on this song as kids. Was special singing it again at the rodeo. We couldn’t keep it together.”

The emotional performance hit even harder when the big screen behind them showed footage of the sisters as little girls singing the same song. Tears flowed on stage and in the crowd, as Tim embraced his daughters and proudly told fans, “They’re all grown up now!”

The show was especially meaningful for Tim, as it marked his first live appearance in over a year following a difficult stretch of health setbacks. In an interview with Bobby Bones, Tim explained:

“I had a back surgery before tour last year, and that went south early on. Compensating for that, my knees gave out three weeks into the tour. I had to finish the whole run with both my knees and my back in terrible shape.”

After wrapping the tour, he underwent surgeries on both knees and then needed a second back procedure while recovering.

Now on the mend, Tim is not only back on his feet—but back doing what he loves most, surrounded by the people who matter most. With more tour dates planned through the summer and fall, fans can expect to see much more of the McGraw magic in the months ahead.

Just seconds after Miranda and her husband made their graceful exit, “a reporter’s blunt question” to Blake SLICED through the silence like a storm — and his chilling non-response said more than words ever could.
