The first time Craig performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry, the whole audience fell silent and then burst into tears, including Ricky Skaggs – who came to hug him and said: “You must sing again, because THE WORLD NEEDS TO HEAR this.” And the most touching moment was when Blake Shelton – Craig’s “close friend” – suddenly walked to the center of the stage, holding Craig’s hand in silence. A scene that made the country people EXPLODE.

    • They were just teens chasing impossible dreams—and somehow, they made us believe. In 2011, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina weren’t just finalists on American Idol—they were magic. When they sang “When You Say Nothing At All,” it wasn’t just a duet. It was vulnerability, hope, and raw talent wrapped in one unforgettable moment. Two young souls, scared and shining, showing us what it means to feel something real. That performance didn’t just win hearts—it stayed in them.

Kenny Chesney Surprises Las Vegas Crowd with Megan Moroney Duet at the Sphere

Kenny Chesney continues to thrill fans during his Las Vegas residency with a string of unexpected guest appearances. After previously bringing out Kelsea Ballerini and Grace Potter, Chesney stunned the crowd again on Wednesday night by welcoming rising country star Megan Moroney to the stage.

Wearing a cut-off Chesney tee, jean shorts, and cowboy boots, Moroney joined Chesney for four songs — including the live debut of their new duet “You Had To Be There.” They also performed “All The Pretty Girls” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” and Moroney had the spotlight to herself for her emotional single “Am I Okay?”

    Chesney praised her energy, saying:

“No one has more fun onstage than Megan Moroney. She radiates joy and makes everyone want to feel that good. Even I want to — and don’t always — maintain that level of feeling good. She just brings it.”

The night also saw a few celebrity attendees, including NFL legend Emmitt Smith. Chesney reflected on the energy of the midweek show:

“For a Wednesday night crowd, it sure felt like Saturday… Maybe it was Megan, maybe we’re really hitting our stride at the Sphere — or maybe it was just meant to be.”

Chesney’s residency at the 17,600-seat Sphere Las Vegas places him among an elite roster of artists who’ve performed at the high-tech venue, including U2 and The Eagles.

“I knew it would be incredible, but I didn’t realize how magical this would feel. More than the visuals or sound — it’s about getting to share the stage with people I love and everyone in No Shoes Nation who came to Vegas for this unbelievable moment.”

Chesney’s Sphere residency continues through June 14, with more surprises still expected.
