Toby Keith’s Son, Stelen Covel, and Wife Haley Expecting First Child — A Baby Girl
Exciting news is blooming in the Covel family! Stelen Covel, the son of the late country legend Toby Keith, and his wife Haley are expecting their first child together — and recently celebrated the upcoming arrival with a joyful, flower-filled baby shower.
A Love Story and a Family Legacy
Stelen and Haley tied the knot in a beautiful 2021 ceremony just outside of Las Vegas. At the time, Toby had recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer and feared he might not live to attend the wedding — especially after he agreed to walk Haley down the aisle, as she had lost her own father.
“My son was getting married, and his wife didn’t have a father,” Toby shared in a past interview. “She asked if I’d walk her down the aisle. I said yes. But I didn’t know if I’d make it that far.”
Toby did make it to the wedding and fulfilled his promise — a moment Haley now cherishes even more deeply following his passing on February 5, 2024.
“It’s an honor to be his daughter-in-law,” Haley wrote in a heartfelt tribute. “He welcomed me as his own, and I’ll forever be thankful.”
A New Generation
Toby Keith left behind his wife Tricia, three children, and several grandchildren. His daughter Krystal once noted that it was hard to find a candid photo where Toby wasn’t holding one of his grandbabies.
Now, the family is growing again.
On February 13, Stelen and Haley shared their pregnancy news with a photo where Stelen wore a Toby Keith T-shirt, captioned:
“Baby Covel coming this summer.”
A Beautiful Baby Shower — And a Sweet Gender Reveal
As the due date draws near, Stelen and Haley gathered with friends and family for a radiant baby shower. Vibrant floral arrangements and soft summer tones filled the space, giving the event a warm, joyful atmosphere.
While the couple had remained private about their baby’s gender, the shower revealed they’re expecting a girl! A guest posted a photo from the event with the caption, “We can’t wait to meet you baby girl Covel,” which Haley re-shared on her Instagram Story.
The celebration featured glittery pink cowgirl-themed cookies and plenty of pink and peach decor. Haley looked stunning in a red floral dress, posing for photos with Stelen, her sisters-in-law, and other guests.
Photographer Katie Hass, who also captured the couple’s wedding in 2021, returned to document this special day.
