“Trailblazer” Lights Up the ACM Stage: Reba, Miranda & Lainey Honor Women of Country Music

One of the most powerful moments from the 60th Annual ACM Awards came when Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson joined forces to premiere their moving new collaboration, “Trailblazer.”

The May 8 performance, held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, was more than a musical debut — it was a celebration of generations of country women who came before, stood tall in the present, and are paving the way for the future.

A Song Rooted in Legacy and Heart
Co-written by Lambert, Wilson, and Brandy Clark, “Trailblazer” is both personal and universal. It name-drops legends like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, and Loretta Lynn, while also tying in elements of the singers’ own roots and states — creating a track that is rich in heritage, identity, and emotion.

“It’s not about us,” Lambert shared. “It’s about what the song means to little girls out there watching… anyone with a dream, needing a little nudge to know they’re not alone.”

    Wilson added:

“This is a song a grandmother, a daughter, and a granddaughter could all sit down and feel together.”

Even Reba teared up the first time she heard the song, saying:

“I couldn’t find a flaw in it. Not a word. I was very emotional when I heard it.”

    A Performance for the Ages
Taking the stage in matching suede fringe outfits, the three women looked every bit like a unified trio as they traded verses and harmonized with grace and strength. The chorus swelled with emotional force, and as the final note rang out, the women joined hands and took a bow — greeted by thunderous applause.

The performance was pure country. Pure storytelling. Pure sisterhood.

A Milestone Moment in Country Music
In a genre where women have had to fight for equal airplay and recognition, “Trailblazer” served as both a tribute and a call to arms. It reminded the audience of the power of women in country, not just as vocalists, but as writers, producers, and forces of change.

Whether you’re a longtime Reba fan, a Lainey Wilson devotee, or a Miranda Lambert loyalist — or discovering them all for the first time — this song left a mark.

🌟 Country music’s past, present, and future just shared the same stage — and the same voice.

These three paved the way for women in Country Music 🎶💖
