All-Star Female Powerhouse Trio Set to Debut “Trailblazer” at the 60th ACM Awards

The 60th Annual ACM Awards are shaping up to be one of the most emotionally powerful and star-studded shows in country music history — and the latest announcement has fans counting down the minutes.

Country legends and fan favorites Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda Lambert will team up to debut a brand-new anthem, “Trailblazer,” live during the May 8 broadcast on Prime Video (8 PM ET). This marks a generational collaboration that promises not just powerhouse vocals — but a message that could echo for years to come.

A Song That Honors the Past and Empowers the Future
“Trailblazer” is more than just a song — it’s a multi-generational tribute. Written by Lambert and Wilson, the track honors female country icons like Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline, while simultaneously pushing forward a message of legacy, resilience, and lifting up the next wave of dreamers.

“We were just having a conversation about how both [Lambert and McEntire] have influenced me… passing the torch and blazing trails,” said Wilson.

    Reba’s Emotional Reaction
Reba McEntire, who will be hosting the ceremony for the 18th time, revealed that she cried the first time she heard the song, telling Billboard that she “couldn’t find a flaw in it.” She’ll perform twice during the show — including a 12-minute opening medley with Wynonna Judd, Sugarland, LeAnn Rimes, and more, in celebration of songs through the decades.

    Lyrics That Go Deeper
The trio teased that the lyrics include nods to their personal histories, like hometowns and past songs — but in subtle, easter-egg style. You’ll have to listen closely.

“We didn’t want it to be so blatant — but more like a secret thing that you’d have to listen to twice,” Lambert explained.

More Than a Song — A Message to Young Women
While “Trailblazer” will be a big moment for these three artists, the heart of the song is for those watching at home — especially young girls with big dreams.

“It’s not about us,” said Lambert. “It’s about what the song means to little girls out there watching… who need a nudge to know they’re not alone.”

    A Show Packed With Collaborations
Other must-see pairings during the ACM Awards include:

    Rascal Flatts x Backstreet Boys

    Shaboozey x Jelly Roll

A Keith Urban tribute featuring Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney, and Brothers Osborne

And don’t forget: Reba, Lambert, and Wilson are only just getting started. The premiere of “Trailblazer” could very well become a defining moment in ACM history.

Tune in May 8 to witness it live.
