Jelly Roll shakes the American Music Awards with triple nominations and turns country music upside down

Jelly Roll Earns Three Major Nominations at the 2025 American Music Awards

Jelly Roll’s meteoric rise in country music just hit another major milestone. The genre-bending artist has officially scored three nominations for the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), celebrating a year where his impact could no longer be ignored. He’s up for Favorite Male Country Artist, Favorite Country Song for his heartfelt anthem “I Am Not Okay,” and Favorite Country Album for Beautifully Broken.

A Journey from Underdog to Powerhouse

For longtime fans, these nominations are a powerful reminder of how far the Tennessee native has come. Known for his signature blend of country, rock, and hip-hop, Jelly Roll has carved a unique path in Nashville and beyond. His AMA nods are proof that his raw, deeply personal storytelling is resonating across genres and audiences.

Being nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist places him alongside the genre’s biggest names—a well-earned recognition for an artist who built his career on relentless touring, soul-baring lyrics, and a genuine connection with his listeners.

    The Songs That Captured Hearts

His nomination for Favorite Country Song, “I Am Not Okay,” highlights one of his most vulnerable and powerful works to date. The haunting ballad explores mental health struggles and resilience with an honesty that’s rare in mainstream country music. Since its release, the song has climbed both country and pop charts, striking a deep chord with fans everywhere.

Meanwhile, Beautifully Broken, nominated for Favorite Country Album, showcases the full depth of Jelly Roll’s artistry. The record seamlessly blends emotional ballads like “Save Me” with gritty tracks like “Dragging These Roots,” offering a fearless, genre-defying portrait of survival and hope. Critics hailed it as one of the most important country releases of the year.

    Fans Make It Happen

Because the American Music Awards are fan-voted, these nominations carry an even deeper meaning. Jelly Roll’s ability to forge a real bond with his audience—whether through raw lyrics, live performances, or openhearted interviews—has built one of the most loyal fanbases in country music today.

    A Humble Reaction

True to form, Jelly Roll reacted with deep gratitude. In a heartfelt post, he shared:

“I’m just a kid from Antioch, Tennessee, singing about life and pain. To be nominated like this is more than a dream come true — it’s a blessing I could have never imagined.”

    The Road Ahead

As the countdown to the 2025 AMAs begins, one thing is clear: Jelly Roll is no longer just an underdog story. He’s now a defining voice helping reshape the future of country music, one brutally honest, soul-stirring song at a time. No matter the final outcome, his journey and these nominations are proof that authenticity still reigns supreme in the music world.
