Kenny Chesney Brings Unity and Joy with “Get Along” at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Country music icon Kenny Chesney delivered one of the night’s most unforgettable moments at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards with a spirited live performance of his hit “Get Along.”

Held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the awards celebrated music across all genres, but it was Chesney’s feel-good performance that truly captured hearts. As the familiar opening chords of “Get Along” rang out, the crowd quickly rose to their feet, clapping and swaying along to the infectious rhythm that defines Chesney’s signature island-country vibe.

A Simple, Powerful Performance

With his trusty cowboy hat, relaxed jeans, and an easygoing smile, Chesney commanded the stage against a sunny backdrop of palm trees and ocean waves. Backed by his longtime band, he kept the performance refreshingly simple, letting the message of kindness, connection, and optimism shine through.

Originally released in 2018 as the lead single from his Songs for the Saints album, “Get Along” has always been more than a catchy tune—it’s a gentle reminder to embrace life’s simple pleasures and to treat each other with compassion. On the iHeartRadio stage, that message resonated louder than ever.

A Song That Brings People Together

Chesney’s warm, steady vocals carried the crowd through the song, supported by bright guitars, drums, and uplifting harmonies. Fans, fellow artists, and industry insiders could all be seen singing and smiling along, proof of the song’s universal appeal and Chesney’s enduring power as a storyteller.

Toward the final chorus, the cameras panned across a sea of joyful faces, capturing a true sense of togetherness. Chesney moved toward the edge of the stage, reaching out to fans in a heartfelt gesture that felt completely genuine.

A Standout Moment of the Night

While the evening featured plenty of flashy pop performances and high-energy collaborations, Chesney’s “Get Along” offered a refreshing, heartfelt pause. No pyrotechnics, no over-the-top theatrics—just pure connection through music.

With a career spanning over three decades, Kenny Chesney once again proved he’s more than just a hitmaker—he’s a unifying force in a divided world. His performance reminded everyone that sometimes, the simplest message is the one we need most: just get along.
