After “the SUDDEN death of his son Jerry” – he did not seek the noise of the stage but returned to faith, and from the deepest place in his broken heart, “The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost” was born. The first time Craig performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry, the whole audience fell silent and then burst into tears, including Ricky Skaggs – who came to hug him and said: “You must sing again, because THE WORLD NEEDS TO HEAR this.” And the most touching moment was when Blake Shelton – Craig’s “close friend” – suddenly walked to the center of the stage, holding Craig’s hand in silence. A scene that made the country people EXPLODE.

Gwen Stefani Joins Blake Shelton for Her First Live Grand Ole Opry Performance

On Saturday night, country music star Blake Shelton took the stage for two big shows at the iconic Grand Ole Opry—and he brought a very special guest with him: his wife, Gwen Stefani! It was a huge moment, as Gwen made her first in-person appearance at the legendary Nashville venue.

Gwen, 52, and Blake, 46, performed their duet hits Nobody but You and Happy Anywhere. In between songs, Gwen spoke to the cheering crowd, saying, “I’m so nervous and excited! I never imagined being here with Blake Shelton. It feels like a miracle. Thank you so much!” The audience clearly loved her, giving her standing ovations after each performance.

Blake beamed with pride. He posted online, “I still can’t believe it! Gwen got TWO standing ovations during her Grand Ole Opry debut. That was so special to witness.” Gwen had previously appeared at the Opry via video call in 2020 from their home, but this was her first time performing on that famous stage in person.

The night was filled with more than just love songs—several past contestants from The Voice, including Wendy Moten, Jake Hoot, and Todd Tilghman, also performed. As a longtime coach on the show, Blake was clearly proud to share the spotlight with them too.

Gwen and Blake are no strangers to performing together. Last November, Blake surprised Gwen onstage during her final Las Vegas residency show with a sweet duet of Happy Anywhere. They’re also teaming up again on the upcoming season of The Voice, premiering September 19.

The couple, who tied the knot in July 2021, recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary with touching tributes online. Gwen posted a romantic video from their wedding set to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, writing, “1 year down, forever to go!” Blake replied, “I love you! Thank you for saying yes!”

Blake also shared a photo from their big day, writing, “Happy anniversary to Gwen, who brings so much joy into my life. This has been the best year ever because of you.” Gwen responded, “My dream man—thank you, God!”

It was a magical night filled with love, music, and unforgettable memories for Gwen, Blake, and everyone lucky enough to be there.
