Country superstar Carrie Underwood has joined forces with gospel singer Ben Fuller for their inspiring new release, “If It Was Up To Me.” The song serves as a poignant reminder that, while we may try to take control of our lives, we can easily miss out on the plans that God has in store for us.

“If it was up to me /
I’d take the easy ride /
But I’d miss the grace that changed my life /
Thank God I’m not the one in charge of things /
I’d never know how good Your plans could be /
If it was up to me…”

This powerful collaboration highlights the duo’s shared faith and passion for music, making “If It Was Up To Me” a deeply moving track that resonates with listeners on a spiritual level.

    Who Is Ben Fuller?
Ben Fuller, a 38-year-old singer/songwriter, is open about his past struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, which ultimately led him to a transformative relationship with Jesus. Since moving to Nashville in 2018, Fuller has shifted his focus to faith-centered music after a life-changing encounter at a local church in 2019. His songs, filled with themes of “hope, mercy, and grace,” share his personal journey of redemption, with Fuller often writing, “Jesus has changed my life and He can change yours too.”

    Carrie Underwood’s Gospel Roots
Carrie Underwood is no stranger to gospel music. In March 2021, she released a gospel album titled My Savior, which featured beloved hymns like “How Great Thou Art” along with newer religious tracks. The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 cross-genre chart and won the Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album in 2022. Singing worship music has always been a part of Underwood’s life, and she even occasionally joins the worship team at her church in Tennessee.

With their shared faith and dedication to spreading messages of hope and grace, Underwood and Fuller’s collaboration on “If It Was Up To Me” feels both deeply personal and spiritually powerful.
