Tom Jones Set the Stage Ablaze in Malta with an Unforgettable Performance

The legendary Tom Jones brought the house down in Malta with an electrifying performance on Tuesday night, captivating fans of all ages.

At 84, the Welsh icon defied his years, opening the show with the ironic ballad I’m Growing Old, a nod to his youthful energy that once filled stages around the world. Returning to Malta after a 15-year hiatus, Jones delivered a stunning performance at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, treating the crowd to an array of his greatest hits, including Sex Bomb and It’s Not Unusual.

However, it was his timeless classic Delilah that truly ignited the crowd, getting everyone on their feet and setting the stage for an even more dynamic performance.

Jones, along with his talented band, kept the energy high throughout the evening, thrilling the estimated 5,000 fans in attendance. Every song was met with resounding cheers and applause as the audience soaked in the iconic sound of one of music’s true legends.

As he performed, Jones shared anecdotes with the crowd, reminiscing about the time he watched Chuck Berry perform with Elvis Presley. He also proudly reminded the audience that he holds the record for being the oldest person in Britain to have a number one album.

The multiple-award-winning singer wrapped up the evening with a powerful rendition of Great Balls of Fire, leaving the crowd roaring with admiration and confirming his undiminished influence in the music industry.

Before closing the show, Jones, with a grin, addressed the audience: “We’re still having one hell of a life, right? We plan to travel the world many more times.”

The audience, spanning at least two generations, wholeheartedly agreed, cementing Tom Jones as a timeless legend in music.
