    • “Father, I still hear your laughter in the wind, and I still see you in the softest of lights…” – from the darkness of loss, Craig Morgan sang like a call echoing through time. After “the SUDDEN death of his son Jerry” – he did not seek the noise of the stage but returned to faith, and from the deepest place in his broken heart, “The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost” was born. The first time Craig performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry, the whole audience fell silent and then burst into tears, including Ricky Skaggs – who came to hug him and said: “You must sing again, because THE WORLD NEEDS TO HEAR this.” And the most touching moment was when Blake Shelton – Craig’s “close friend” – suddenly walked to the center of the stage, holding Craig’s hand in silence. A scene that made the country people EXPLODE.

Given the state of the world today, it’s no surprise that many people have to work tirelessly just to make ends meet.

We often hear about those few individuals who seem to coast through life without lifting a finger, somehow managing to get by thanks to the generosity of others.

But for every so-called ‘freeloader,’ there are countless hardworking, honest people who put in the hours, grinding away day after day just to pay their bills. Some may struggle financially, but they still show up, determined to earn their way in life.

By all accounts, Bethany Provencher is one of those people. A dedicated single mother with an 11-year-old son, she made the bold decision a few years ago to leave behind her life in Miami after 18 years and start fresh in St. Charles, Illinois.

Bethany signed a lease for a new apartment in The Magic City and, with 25 years of experience in customer service, managed to land a job at a local IHOP.

Even with steady work, she knew things would be tight for a while. Reports say she wasn’t even able to fully furnish her new place due to financial constraints.

Then, one fateful day, just as the year was coming to a close, a celebrity couple walked into the IHOP where Bethany was working and sat in her section.

It didn’t take long for her to recognize Donnie Wahlberg, the famous singer-songwriter, alongside his wife, Jenny McCarthy.

Bethany, a longtime fan of New Kids on the Block, was thrilled—especially since Donnie had always been one of her favorites. She was overjoyed to be serving him, completely unaware of just how much this encounter would change her life.

After Donnie and Jenny finished their meal, the singer paid their $35.27 bill and left a handwritten message for Bethany on the receipt. Next to a smiley face, it read:

“Thanks, Bethany. Happy New Year. 2020 Tip Challenge.”

Before leaving, Donnie reportedly asked Bethany not to open the receipt until after they had gone.

When she finally unfolded it, she was left absolutely speechless.

Donnie had left a $2,020 tip—not just for her, but to be shared among her coworkers.

What an incredible act of kindness! After her big move to Illinois, this unexpected generosity surely meant the world to Bethany.
