Melania Trump showed ‘signs of stress’ at Congress address

Melania Trump has largely stayed out of the public eye since her husband, Donald Trump, assumed office in January, spending time in Washington, D.C., Florida, and New York. As the Trumps begin their second term in Washington, a new book has cast a negative light on their marriage, with neither Donald nor Melania commenting on the claims.

At Donald Trump’s recent Congressional address on Tuesday, Melania was present, and he acknowledged her with praise, prompting an ovation. However, some observers speculated that her expression may have conveyed emotions beyond mere happiness, as fans noticed her lip twitching, which some interpreted as a sign that something might not be right.

Melania has made it clear that her second term as First Lady will differ from her first. She stated in a January interview with Fox that she won’t be living in the White House full-time. Instead, she plans to split her time between Washington, New York, where she’ll be with their son Barron, and Palm Beach, Florida, where the Trumps have lived since leaving the White House.

Despite having little involvement in current controversies like the war in Ukraine or tariffs, a new book by Trump biographer Michael Wolff has drawn attention to Melania’s alleged feelings toward her husband. Wolff’s book, All or Nothing, claims that Melania has lost all affection for Donald and is uninterested in living with him on a daily basis. According to Wolff’s sources, one confidant stated, “She f***ing hates him.”

The book also discusses the couple’s unconventional living arrangement, with Melania spending minimal time with her husband. Wolff claims that Trump’s campaign staff didn’t even know where she was living and that she spends most of her time in Trump Tower. She reportedly refused to attend campaign events and only made one appearance on the plane in 2023.

While some, like Wolff, argue that Melania’s distance from her husband is intentional, others reject these claims. White House communications director Steven Cheung dismissed Wolff’s assertions, calling him a fraud. Neither Donald nor Melania have commented on the book’s contents.

Melania recently made a rare public appearance in Washington to push for a bill combating revenge porn. She criticized Democratic leaders for not showing enough public support and emphasized the importance of prioritizing children’s well-being over partisan politics.

At Donald Trump’s Congressional address, Melania was in attendance again, where she invited several people, including Marc Fogel, a schoolteacher released from a Russian prison, and the family of a volunteer fire chief killed at a rally where Donald Trump was shot. While Melania received praise for her work, social media users noticed her lip twitching again, prompting speculation that she may be experiencing stress or nervousness.

Psychology experts suggest that such behavior could indicate emotional turmoil or stress, which may be why Melania’s lip movements were seen as a sign of possible underlying anxiety during her public appearances.
