    Fans paid tribute on social media

    Known for his parts in *The Bodyguard*, *Night at the Museum*, and *New Jack City*, actor Bill Cobbs died at the age of 90. On Facebook, his brother, Pastor Thomas G. Cobbs, verified the news, writing, “Bill passed away peacefully at his California home on June 25.”

    In the company of those who loved him, Bill just celebrated his 90th birthday. He was adored by many and was a loyal friend, big brother, uncle, and partner. Thomas continued, “The knowledge that Bill has found serenity and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father is a comfort to all of us.”

    One fan said, “Mr. Bill Cobbs was a gentleman, an absolute legend, and a man of great talent,” in a social media tribute. “Thank you, Mr. Bill Cobbs, for sharing your gifts and pursuing your dreams,” added another.

    Born in 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio, Bill began his career as a radar technician before turning to acting at the age of 36. Among the many TV series and movies he starred in were *Trading Places* and *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.*. His legacy in Hollywood will endure, as he has completed more than 100 projects.
