    • “IT’S NOT FOR SALE.” Just four words from Bruce Springsteen stopped a $12 million payday in its tracks and defended the soul of a nation’s anthem. In 1985, Chrysler came knocking, offering a fortune to plaster Born In The U.S.A. on car ads, but Bruce didn’t flinch. “This song isn’t a jingle. It’s a scream,” he reportedly said, eyes blazing with conviction. Written for the forgotten veterans, the broken, and the disillusioned, the anthem carried wounds too deep to be polished into a commercial. Springsteen didn’t just refuse a check—he drew a line in history, proving that some songs aren’t meant to be sold—they’re meant to be remembered, felt, and fought for.

Shirley MacLaine is still going strong at 89.

The Oscar-winning actress still enjoys Martinis while dining out in Hollywood, despite her advanced age.

The Steel Magnolia actress has seen everything in her seven-decade career. In fact, her life stories are unmatched among her peers.

Shirley MacLaine made numerous great films in her career. I could list The Apartment, Harry’s Trouble, Sister Sara’s Two Mules, and Guarding Tess forever.

Shirley is not Ouiser Boudreaux, the short-tempered character she played in Steel Magnolia, which is being discussed today.

She replied, “Not that much bothers me,” in 2019.

I suppose attitudes are chosen. Anger, peace, and sarcasm—which I’m adept at—are choices.

MacLaine said her life is “perfect” today. She spends much of her time on her New Mexico ranch with her favorite rat terriers, eating and sleeping whenever she likes.

Shirley, born April 24, 1934, began her career on Broadway in New York and captivated audiences worldwide with her 1955 performance in Alfred Hitchcock’s black comedy The Trouble with Harry.

Hitchcock was “a hoot, he really was,” Shirley, 21, added.

I probably would have loathed him if I were tall, slim, ethereal, attractive, and mysterious.

She is a Hollywood legend with almost 50 films. In her late 80s, she appeared in Only Murders in the Building, continuing her acting career.

Shirley MacLaine appears in “Some Came Running.” 4/3/1959 ‘To pay for aircraft tickets, I never considered quitting the business. I didn’t socialize Hollywood-style, she said. I’d rather visit a new country. When I think about my life, I’d probably put travel over show business, she stated.

MacLaine prefers outdoors to Tinseltown, despite occasional visits. She finds enjoyment by immersing herself in the environment around her New Mexico ranch, where she has spent most of her time recently. She finds power and enthusiasm in nature, but she also loves her Malibu home.

Shirley has even advised others to “give it up and learn to amalgamate with nature,” underlining the benefits of living in peace with nature.

Shirley’s love life has long been rumored.

The beloved actress had a daughter in 1956 with producer and businessman Steve Parker after over 30 years of marriage. Shirley has admitted to having other affairs during their marriage.

Shirley issued a statement denying the allegations.

As a mother and truth-teller, it hurts. I’m devastated that my daughter would say things about me that are mostly false. I lauded her affectionately and honestly in my autobiographies. She said she was unhappy to witness her daughter’s dishonest, opportunistic attempt, for whom I’ve always wanted the best.

Sachi insists her biological father is astronaut Paul, despite Shirley’s denial. They no longer speak due of their bad relationship.

Shirley has been upfront about her unusual sexuality and relationship beliefs. In 2011, the 89-year-old addressed her relationship with ex-husband Steve Parker on Oprah. The renowned actress again made waves in 2012 when she told the Daily Mirror she had slept with two prime ministers.

Many thought she meant Olof Palme, the Swedish Prime Minister at the time, but he disputed it. Shirley also claimed to have slept with Trudeau and Peacock.

    Regarding Trudeau, she said:

“He was nice. He was smart and authoritative. I loved his adorable kids. Adorable. Very mischievous.”

Remember that Shirley’s claims about having sexual encounters with prime leaders are unconfirmed. Thus, they may be false.

Shirley reportedly had a three-year romance with Robert Mitchum and a six-week “crush” on Dean Martin, among other affairs.

Shirley MacLaine’s brilliance and magnetism are eternal, and at 89, she’s yearning for more creative challenges. Only Murders in the Building showed her versatility, and in a recent interview, the Hollywood star intimated that she’s not done with film.

I love filmmaking. Again, I keep coming back to creativity. I liked Leonora Folger in Murders. I loved filming those scenes. My longtime pals Steve [Martin] and Marty [Short] and creator John Hoffman were lovely to see. I loved being with them, she told Advocate.

Shirley is a terrific actor, and I’ve always admired her movies.

May the universe bless Shirley MacLaine with an abundance of life, for she is a true gem of Hollywood and a legendary actress. We hope her passion for acting and love for life continues to inspire us all for many more years to come!
