Miranda Lambert is facing criticism for her behavior at a recent music festival, leading many fans to express their disappointment and loss of interest in the country music star. This isn’t the first time her actions on stage have caused controversy.

At the Montana Festival, a video shared on July 14 shows Lambert reprimanding the crowd during her performance, prompting many attendees to leave. The footage, captioned “Miranda reprimands crowd at Under The Big Sky in Montana,” reveals Lambert in a cowboy hat and denim dress with tassels, addressing the audience directly.

Lambert pointed out that some people in the crowd were not paying attention to her performance. Speaking with her southern twang, she asserted, “I can see your head is not turned the right way, which is this way,” pointing to herself. This remark elicited cheers from some fans, but Lambert continued, “So, if you came to visit, you can do it somewhere else.”

She addressed those who were eager to be there, saying, “If you came to sing and hear some country music and drink some beer… then we’re doing that tonight.” Raising her hands, she asked the crowd, “Are we clear?” Lambert then pointed to specific people, asking if they were done being dramatic, indicating a possible scuffle among some individuals.

“Fighting is not okay… And it’s always the girls. We get crazy!” she exclaimed with a chuckle. Trying to lighten the mood, she raised a cup to toast with the audience. “Cheers, everybody. I’m gonna wait it out,” she said before taking a sip from her cup, which was empty. She then gestured to her stage crew for a refill.

Lambert mentioned, “Mine’s empty,” and someone quickly replaced her cup. “This looks like a good time for a drink, y’all!” she shouted with her arms outstretched. Underneath the post, the TikToker who shared the video asked for thoughts, leading to a mixed reaction from viewers.

One person in the audience commented, “We left. As did LOTS of the crowd,” while another criticized, “This is terrible.” Someone else shared, “I stopped liking Miranda for this exact reason,” with others echoing similar sentiments. However, some defended Lambert, saying, “Honestly she was amazing. We were right up front and loved every second of it,” and another admirer praised her honesty.

Lambert’s forthright nature has often caused a stir. During a past concert in Las Vegas, she stopped her performance of “Tin Man” to address a group of women taking selfies, expressing her frustration and asking them to put their phones down and focus on the music. Some audience members left in response to her comments.

One concertgoer could be heard saying, “Let’s go, c’mon. You don’t do that to fans.” Another remarked, “Ok. Bye!” A social media user who shared the footage added, “She Mad,” in the caption. Many viewers agreed, noting Lambert’s reaction was out of line and awkward. Some even compared her to other artists, saying, “Taylor [Swift] would never.”

Despite the backlash, some fans continue to appreciate Lambert’s candidness and dedication to her performances, though her confrontational approach remains divisive.
