Michael J. Fox’s twin daughter, Schuyler Fox, recently tied the knot in a beautiful “picture-perfect” wedding. Adding to the magic of the special day, Schuyler exchanged vows with her beloved partner on her mom’s birthday, marking yet another joyous milestone for the close-knit family.
Congratulations are in order for Schuyler Fox, the daughter of Hollywood icon Michael J. Fox, who married her longtime partner on June 22. The enchanting wedding took place in the Catskill Mountains in New York, a venue that looks like it was taken straight out of a fairytale book. Making the day even more special was the fact that it coincided with Schuyler’s mom’s 64th birthday.
The wedding venue, Hayfield Catskills, exuded both luxury and rustic charm, setting the perfect tone for Schuyler to say, “I do.” Described as a “breathtaking mountain valley cradling two majestic barns,” it provided an unmatched experience for the guests. An onlooker described the event as a “picture perfect garden party,” highlighting the adorable and gentle nature of the family.
Everything about the day was perfect, even the weather, despite the heat wave. The venue is surrounded by stunning waterfalls, breathtaking hiking trails, and bucolic farmland, offering a picturesque setting.
Accommodation for the star-studded guest list, which included Jennifer Grey, Ali Wentworth, and George Stephanopoulos, was at the rustic and cozy Bluebird Hunter Lodge. The bride and groom also hosted pre-wedding events there. Guests who didn’t stay at Bluebird Hunter Lodge enjoyed their time at Scribner’s Catskill Lodge, a place known for hosting some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Hayfield Catskills provided a range of activities for the guests, including spa visits, golf, zip-lining, and fly-fishing. Adventurous guests could discover secret swimming holes, hike to the top of New York State’s tallest two-tier waterfall, or explore antique stores. For a more relaxed experience, they could roast marshmallows while gazing at the mountains or sip local bourbon by a fire.
Though no photos of Schuyler’s actual wedding have been released, images of Hayfield Catskills on Instagram showcase its stunning beauty. The venue’s barns strike a balance between maintaining their original style and incorporating modern amenities, making them suitable for formal events. The furniture, custom-designed with wood joinery, adds to the rustic charm and can accommodate up to 150 people.
Adding an extra layer of sweetness to Schuyler’s special day was the celebration of her mom’s birthday. Michael J. Fox shared a heartwarming tribute to his wife, Tracy Pollan, on Instagram, posting a beautiful black-and-white picture of her and an endearing image of the two of them together. “In every beautiful way, it’s beautiful Tracy’s beautiful day. I love you and today will be magnificent. Always forever your Mike with so-much love. Happy birthday. It’s gonna be an epic day ❤️,” he wrote.
Michael and Tracy have been married for over 30 years and have a beautiful family. In addition to Schuyler, they have her twin sister, Aquinnah, another daughter, Esmé, and a son, Sam. Family means everything to Tracy and Michael, who often boast about their kids. Last year, Michael posted a dedication to Schuyler and Aquinnah on their birthday, celebrating their lives and achievements.
Michael’s daughters also support him in return. They attended the Spring Moving Image Awards in New York City in June last year when Michael received a lifetime achievement award. Iconic filmmaker Martin Scorsese presented the award, praising Michael’s talents and his work benefiting Parkinson’s disease research.
Michael has been open about his struggles with Parkinson’s, a disease he was diagnosed with in 1991. Despite the challenges, he remains optimistic and grateful for his family’s support. He spoke about the difficulties he faces and his achievements during a speech at the Michael J. Fox Foundation event earlier this year, expressing his gratitude for the help of his family and colleagues.
Looking forward to Schuyler’s wedding, Michael mentioned, “You know, my daughter’s getting married too… good things are happening, and life is good.” Schuyler, beyond being a new bride, is a Harvard Ed.M. passionate about using storytelling for education and impact. She has a background in children’s mental health and development and currently works as a producer at FableVision.
