    • “NO ONE EXPECTED THIS — AND FOR 3 MINUTES, THE MALL FORGOT HOW TO BREATHE.” An ordinary afternoon at Ayala Malls Market! Market! suddenly turned unreal when Calum Scott casually stepped up and began singing “You Are The Reason.” No stage. No warning. Just that unmistakable voice cutting through the noise — and everything else stopped. Conversations faded. Shoppers froze mid-step. Phones shot into the air as people realized this wasn’t a recording… this was him. As the song built, you could feel the emotion ripple through the crowd — strangers standing shoulder to shoulder, some smiling, some wiping their eyes. And when the final note landed, the mall didn’t erupt right away… it exhaled, then burst into applause. A random day became a once-in-a-lifetime memory — the kind people will swear they were there for.
    • NEIL DIAMOND TURNS 85 — A MAN WHO LONG RETIRED FROM THE STAGE BUT WHOSE MUSIC CONQUERS THE WORLD. At 85, Neil Diamond is no longer in the spotlight at concerts, but his melodies resonate more powerfully than ever — from stadiums and weddings to social media and the big screen. “Sweet Caroline” has been revived as a global phenomenon, while songs seemingly from the past continue to be sung by younger generations. Without touring or extensive promotion, Neil Diamond’s name permeates collective memory. His 85th birthday is not just a milestone in his life, but a striking reminder: there are legends who don’t need to appear — because their music never goes away.

Stunning in a brilliant yellow gown, former child model Brooke Shields turned heads as she walked the red carpet at the 2024 Tony Awards at New York City’s Lincoln Center.

The stylish star’s swagger turned into a slip, though, as admirers discovered something strange under her long lemon dress.

Posting to her 1.8 million Facebook fans on June 14, Brooke Shields—who landed her first main role in the film Pretty Baby, where she featured in naked sequences, at the tender age of 12—shared a message.

Seen in the rearview mirror with her feet restrained by braces, the photo caption reads: “The feet shots are going to level up…Foot and toe surgery performed twice.

She has put her body through a lot in the last many years.

The Blue Lagoon actress documented her road to recovery online in February 2021, following a month-long fall on a balance board that had fractured her femur.

I fractured my femur. Starting to heal. Regardless of the obstacle you’re facing, choose a constructive path forward for yourself. With the title “#BeginningisNow,” Shields posted a video to Instagram showing herself trying to walk while dressed in a medical gown.

However, the tenacious star of Law & Order: SVU remained unfazed.

The thought crossed my mind: “I couldn’t do this in heels.”

At the 2024 Tony Awards, held at Lincoln Center in New York City on June 16th, Brooke Shields was the show-stopper.

At the celebrity-studded event, the actor presented an award while adorned in a stunning lemon-colored sequined gown accessorized with golden jewelry, a matching purse, and her long brown hair cascading freely over her back.

Adding a pair of complementary yellow Crocs, she finished off her appearance.

    The first, ungainly clog design.

As for her footwear, she proudly announced, “I got my Crocs,” when speaking to People. In high heels, I would be completely helpless, she exclaimed.

The Lipstick Jungle actress wore comfortable shoes so she could attend the awards ceremony, which celebrates outstanding performance in the theater.

Three days after foot surgery, a red carpet appearance… what’s a girl to do?! Go for Crocs. That is your assignment! Last night’s presentation at the Tony Awards was truly a privilege. “What an amazing evening,” she writes with a Facebook photo of herself flaunting her unique shoes.

    “Diva knowledge”

Many of her internet admirers were quick to voice their approval of her casual Crocs footwear choice, which sparked an animated discussion at the Tony Awards.

What I love most about Brooke is that she’s serious enough about herself to not take things too seriously,” exclaimed one devoted fan. Divine insight.

Another viewer who was tuning in live chimes in, saying, “…I was thinking how is she doing this?” Requires crutches, doesn’t she? Your Crocs were the next thing we noticed! Put your trust in Brooke; the program must continue! What an inspiration.

“If anyone knows what to do, it’s you,” says the third person. I adore how your dress extended to the carpet, letting those Crocs pop at just the right moment. Way to go, Brooke!
