Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, files for divorce from Firerose, 37, after 7 months of marriage – cites fraud as one reason

The internet went wild about Billy Ray Cyrus’s marriage to Firerose, his considerably younger bride. Now that it’s been seven months since they said “I do,” the pair appears to be breaking up.

Billy Ray Cyrus, a country artist, has filed for a divorce from Firerose, his wife of seven months. Firerose, whose given name is Johanna Rose Hodges, and the 62-year-old have been married since October 2023, but the former has now filed for a divorce.

The grounds for the divorce, according to the papers filed with the court, are irreconcilable differences and improper marital behavior. Actually, Cyrus is attempting to have the marriage annulled due to allegations of fraud. At this time, his definition of “fraud” remains unclear.

According to People.com, the pair has also stopped following one other on Instagram.

The pair has already discussed their familiarity with one another. They talked about how they’d been friends for a long time before they started collaborating on music during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their romance started in 2022, yet they didn’t become engaged until October 2023.

Along with celebrating their six-month wedding anniversary in April of this year, Firerose shared a photo from their big day with the message, “6 months ago I married this man. 🤍 When your husband doubles as your best friend, you have an ally in times of difficulty. Praise be to the Lord!

Cyrus’ first marriage was to a different woman. His 28-year marriage to Tish Cyrus is well-known. Miley, Noah, Brandi, and their boys Trace and Braison are five of his children from a previous marriage.

Christopher Cody is Billy Ray’s older son from a relationship he had with Kristen Luckey before he met Tish.
