When Caitlyn Jenner heard that OJ Simpson had passed away, she was one of the people who had something to say.

Speaking out was also Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman, who was killed together with Nicole Brown Simpson.

“All I can say is that it serves as a further reminder that Ron has been gone for a long time,” Fred said to NBC News. “The world is not greatly lost. It serves as one more reminder of Ron’s passing.

Simpson was charged in June 1994 with killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson in her Brentwood, California condo, as well as her friend Ron Goldman. The former football player and a companion famously led police on a low-speed pursuit across Los Angeles despite initially being urged to give themselves in.

Eventually, at his estate in Brentwood, he was taken into custody.

It was called the “trial of the century” what happened next. Simpson was declared not guilty of murder following an 11-month trial; nonetheless, he was held accountable for Nicole and Ron’s deaths in a subsequent civil trial.
