King, Buddy Guy, and Mick Jagger — exploded in cheers and laughter. Obama’s voice wasn’t perfect, but it was authentic. The crowd felt every note, every ounce of joy, every bit of Chicago pride pouring from his heart. “That’s my hometown,” he said, flashing that famous smile — and for a moment, even the Secret Service seemed to sway along. That brief 36-second performance became one of the most unforgettable moments in presidential history — proof that even in the heart of politics, music still has the power to bring the world to its feet.
    • ‘This one’s for you, Maestro…’” Chris Botti whispered softly before lifting his trumpet beneath the golden lights of the Kennedy Center. And then — silence. One note, trembling with emotion, filled the hall and wrapped every heart in its warmth. His tribute to the legendary Arturo Sandoval wasn’t just music — it was a confession of love, gratitude, and legacy. “You taught me that music isn’t about perfection,” Botti once said, “it’s about truth.” Each note seemed to echo those words, rising higher, shimmering like a prayer. Sandoval, the Cuban defector who once risked everything for freedom, sat motionless — his eyes glistening. When the final note faded, he stood, whispering through tears, “You made me proud, my son.” It wasn’t just a performance. It was a passing of the torch — a moment where friendship, respect, and the soul of jazz itself met under one shining stage

As an adult, Malia Obama is carving out a new identity for herself; she is the daughter of former president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama. She has even chosen to change her name.

The Heart, the 25-year-old’s first feature film, was just shown at the Sundance Film Festival.

Her family’s surname was noticeably absent from the film’s credits.

Her middle name, Obama, honors her paternal grandmother, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1995 at the age of 52. Malia Ann Obama was born on July 4, 1998. Malia chose to pursue a career in screenwriting after graduating from Harvard and growing up in the spotlight as the daughter of the president.

Malia used the pen name Malia Ann for her most recent film, The Heart, in which she also serves as screenwriter and director. Malia looked stunning as she celebrated the debut of her film earlier this year on the festival’s red carpet.

However, this isn’t Malia’s first rodeo in the film industry. She was an associate writer on the 2021 Amazon Prime original series Swarm. Her career got off to a good start with Swarm, which featured famous actors including Rory Culkin and Billie Eilish.

It was hilarious and entertaining, and some of her pitches were crazy as heck. Janine Nabers, co-creator of Swarm, gushed about Malia’s writing abilities to E! Online. “What she contributed was substantial…” Her commitment to her craft is unwavering.

It was made clear by Stephen Glover, the executive producer of Swarm, that Malia was treated the same as any other member of the creative team, notwithstanding her famous family history.

“We can’t be lenient with her solely because she is the daughter of the [former] president,” he said to Vanity Fair. I don’t think so; she’s chill and real. Therefore, there is absolutely no issue.

A happy family On Malia’s recent 25th birthday, Barack and Michelle Obama showered her with loving birthday greetings, publicly expressing their joy in her.

Barack celebrated the birthday of a “talented, hilarious, and beautiful young woman” by posting a personalized message on Instagram. “May your 25th birthday bring you all your heart desires and more, Malia.”
