The new Dunkin’ commercial has 51-year-old Ben Affleck, who aspires to be a pop sensation like Jennifer Lopez, in which Lopez stars. “Dunkin’ ‘Popstar,’ ft. Ben Affleck & Charli D’Amelio” is the name of the commercial.

Talking to stylists and music producers, Affleck appears in the commercial. Additionally, he poses as a phone call to Jennifer Lopez, his wife, and inquires as to her opinion of the stage name “BLo.”

Viewers can spot a framed paparazzi photo of Affleck in his fabricated living room, accompanied by images of Lopez, approximately forty seconds into the commercial. Wearing a blue blazer, Affleck poses with a Dunkin’ cup of coffee and a few cartons of Dunkin’ donuts in the background of the photo.

Affleck is seen in a well-known photo from 2021, where he is seen holding a Dunkin’ coffee on top of some mail. This shot looks a lot like that one. Following the photo’s success, Affleck was approached by Dunkin’ Donuts to become their ambassador. In 2023, he made his Super Bowl debut as their star.

In 2023, Affleck went to the Grammys with Lopez and seemed expressionless the whole night. This led to the creation of the “Sad Affleck” memes, which the advertisement alludes to.

As the video comes to a close, Affleck cautions viewers not to underestimate Boston while simultaneously promoting Lopez’s forthcoming album, which bears the title, “This is me, now,” and features the actress wearing a donut necklace.
