When news broke about actor Jeremy Renner’s snow plow accident, concerns for his well-being were widespread. The actor faced critical condition for a while, but it appears he is now on the road to recovery.
Recently, Renner made his first red carpet appearance since the incident, bringing along a special guest to mark the occasion.
Known for his Hollywood career, particularly as Hawkeye in the Avengers franchise, Renner became a real-life hero by saving his nephew’s life in a snow-related incident. According to a redacted Washoe County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Renner towed his nephew’s vehicle after it got stuck in the snow, leading to a snow plow mishap.
The incident involved a PistenBully snow groomer sliding sideways and rolling down a hill. Renner, realizing his nephew was in its path, jumped into action. In an attempt to stop or divert the vehicle, Renner entered the cab but was tragically pulled under the left side track, resulting in severe injuries.
Following the accident, Renner was hospitalized, revealing later in an interview that he had broken around 35 bones. Despite the severity, he expressed gratitude that none of his organs were harmed and that he avoided life-threatening injuries.
Renner made his first red carpet appearance after the accident at the premiere of his documentary series “Rennervations.” Despite walking with the aid of a cane, he appeared in good spirits, donning a classic navy blue suit and dark shades. His plus one for the premiere was his daughter, Ava, and the father-daughter duo radiated joy on the red carpet.
This marks Renner’s initial public appearance since the accident and subsequent hospitalization on January 1, 2023. In recent interviews, the actor has acknowledged his luck in surviving the ordeal and expressed gratitude for avoiding more severe consequences.
