Jennifer Lopez is being honest about growing older as a woman in Hollywood and how the business has come to value actors of all generations.
“I think it’s appropriate, and it has changed a lot,” she said in an interview with Elle that was released on Thursday, November 30. “You become a more valuable human being with more to offer as you age and gain experience. The notion that “observing a woman over 30 has no real value” is ludicrous and completely incorrect. It simply makes me chuckle.
“People have realized that women just get sexier as they get older,” Lopez said. They become more intelligent and endowed with greater virtues. Everything about that is exquisitely lovely and appealing, not only in terms of appearance but also in terms of the inner beauty and knowledge that come with age.
At 54 years old, the multi-talented celebrity is busier than ever and told the source that she plans to work for “as long as” she wants to. She remarked, “I don’t know what that age is.” I have no idea how old it is; it may be 70, 80, or 90. However, I am aware that if I want it and want to make it, it is available to me.
Lopez has never accepted others’ limitations in her work. “That has always been my mindset: to never let anybody put me in a box because of where I was born, where I’m from, my age, anything like that,” she said. “I have no boundaries.”
On February 16, 2024, Lopez will release her ninth studio album, This Is Me … Now, as announced last month. “Can’t Get Enough,” the album’s first single, will drop one month early. This is me… First full-length solo album in almost a decade since 2014’s A.K.A.
Lopez announced that a “fantastical and highly visual” film about her life with Ben Affleck will premiere on Prime Video next year alongside new music. After breaking up in 2004, Lopez and Affleck, 51, reunited in 2021. They married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and had a formal ceremony the following month.
When Lopez revealed her new album in November 2022, fans recognized a reference to her 2002 album, This Is Me … Then, dedicated to Affleck. “Dear Ben pt. II” will be on her upcoming album, following the 2002 smash.
