Having suffered a stroke in April 2022, this evening’s performance held an exceptional significance for me.”
She concluded her post by acknowledging the effort behind her comeback, “Tonight, my hard work and persistence paid off as I performed ‘I Dreamed A Dream,’ the song that marked the beginning of my journey. For the past year, I’ve worked tirelessly to regain my speech and singing abilities, with the sole intention of returning to the stage.”
According to Mayo Clinic, a stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is cut off or reduced, leading to symptoms that may include headaches, paralysis, difficulty speaking, and comprehension issues.
