Once those pieces come together, the illusion suddenly becomes much easier to understand.

It is a gigantic sleeping dog.

The cleverest part of the illusion is the way the viewer is given a false choice from the beginning. Once someone asks whether you see lovers or a dinosaur, your brain automatically begins searching for those two possibilities.

That makes it much harder to notice an entirely different figure hiding in the same shapes.

The snow also works as natural camouflage. Parts of the dog’s body blend into the white landscape, while the unusual perspective makes the animal appear enormous.

Its face, paws, body, and tail may seem confusing at first.

But once someone points out the dog, those same shapes suddenly look obvious.
