    5 Symptoms of a Mini Stroke in Seniors That Shouldn’t Be Ignored

    A mini stroke, medically known as a transient ischemic attack (TIA), should never be ignored. Although its symptoms often disappear within minutes or hours, a TIA is a medical emergency because it can be an early warning that a more serious stroke may occur. Prompt medical evaluation can help identify the cause and reduce the risk of a future stroke.

    In older adults, the signs of a TIA can sometimes be mistaken for fatigue, dizziness, aging, or temporary confusion. However, the key feature is that the symptoms appear suddenly. Any sudden neurological change deserves immediate medical attention, even if it resolves quickly.
