Lauren Alaina Reveals How Touring With a Baby and Her Dogs Changed Everything!

Lauren Alaina Opens Up About Motherhood, Music, and Life on the Road with Baby Beni

It’s a crisp fall afternoon in Nashville when Lauren Alaina welcomes us into her cozy home for The Pupdate, introducing her two beloved dogs, Nola and Opry, while sharing life updates on motherhood, touring, and new music. The singer’s house is warm and full of life — baby giggles, puppy paws, and the sound of a new chapter unfolding.

Meet the Family: Nola, Opry, and Baby Beni

As Alaina settles onto the couch, Nola curls up for a nap while Opry listens attentively nearby. Before the arrival of baby Beni Doll — her first child with husband Cam Arnold, born in June — the couple’s pets were their world. Their cat, Kitty Wells, also roams freely during the visit, occasionally hopping onto the back of the couch like she owns the place.

Alaina laughs as she recalls introducing Beni to the pack.

“They actually both love her now, but it was an interesting adjustment,” she admits. “They weren’t sure what to think at first — they’d sniff her and walk away. Now, I’m just trying to make sure they’re not licking her face every second. They’re obsessed.”

Trading Late Nights for Baby Bottles

Becoming a mother has brought big changes, especially as Alaina returns to life on tour.

“We traded beer bottles and wine glasses for baby bottles and shakers,” she jokes, before adding with a smile, “I wouldn’t change anything about it.”

Having baby Beni on the road has been a full-circle moment for the Georgia native.

“My mom’s been traveling with me again,” Alaina explains. “When I started this at 16, she was with me on tour. Now she’s back — except this time, I’m the mom with a baby.”

Life on the Road with Baby Beni

Thanks to fellow artists HARDY and his wife Caleigh, who welcomed their daughter Rosie earlier this year, Alaina was able to ease into life on the road with an infant.

“Rosie outgrew her bassinet before Beni did, so they gave it to us,” Alaina shares. “It was so awesome to have them in my corner because I had no idea how to take a baby on a bus.”

She’s also leaned on the advice of friends like Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, Russell and Kailey Dickerson, and Martina McBride.

“I’ve been so lucky to have these amazing women around me who’ve done this — moms who’ve balanced music and family,” she says.

Looking Ahead: Touring with Rascal Flatts

With her comeback year in full swing, Alaina’s next big milestone is rejoining Rascal Flatts on the Life Is a Highway Tour 2026.

“I grew up listening to Rascal Flatts, so to be on tour with them is a dream,” she beams. “They’ve been like uncles to my baby girl. It’s wild — I was eight and a half months pregnant when we wrapped the last tour, and now I’ll be back with proof!”

She adds that husband Cam and their pups will be joining them on the road.

“We’ll take these pup-peronis out there and be one big happy family.”

    Redefining Success

At 30, Lauren Alaina has a new definition of success.

“I always dreamed of being on stage and touring, but now my dream is them — my family,” she reflects. “The music, the awards, the shows… that’s all a bonus.”

Though she admits she still gets anxious about album deadlines and tour schedules, her priorities are clear.

“When Beni smiles at me, everything else fades away,” she says. “As long as we can give her a beautiful life, that’s what matters.”

    The Next Chapter

Between her growing family, new music in the works, and a tour on the horizon, Lauren Alaina is stepping confidently into her next chapter — one filled with love, laughter, and a renewed sense of purpose.

“It’s completely flipped for me,” she says softly. “But this — motherhood, marriage, and music — this is my dream now.”
