Dave Portnoy Calls Out Zach Bryan’s “Lookalike” Girlfriend
Zach Bryan’s rumored new romance has fans — and Dave Portnoy — doing a double take. On Thursday’s episode of The Unnamed Show, the Barstool Sports founder expressed disbelief over how closely Bryan’s alleged new girlfriend, Samantha Leonard, resembles his ex, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
“Have you seen his girlfriend?” Portnoy asked co-hosts Kirk Minihane and Ryan Whitney, before showing side-by-side photos. “That is not Brianna. It’s insane. How is that even possible?”
From “Brianna” to “Brianna 2.0”
Bryan, 28, was linked to Leonard last month after she shared photos of them together at Spain’s Running of the Bulls. Since then, Reddit threads have lit up with fans describing Leonard as LaPaglia’s “clone,” with one comparing the situation to Kanye West dating Kim Kardashian lookalike Bianca Censori.
Portnoy didn’t hold back either: “This guy’s an absolute psychopath. He went and built a Brianna 2.0 in the lab.” Even his co-hosts admitted they struggled to tell the two women apart.
A Messy Breakup History
Bryan and LaPaglia dated from 2023 to 2024, but their split was anything but clean. The BFFs podcast co-host accused the country star of emotional abuse and claimed he tried to pressure her into signing a $12 million NDA — which she refused.
The drama escalated further when Bryan dissed LaPaglia in a TikTok comment, denying his song “River Washed Hair” was about her, insisting she wasn’t “sweet.” He later posted screenshots of private texts, prompting LaPaglia to fire back with her own receipts and even Google “how do I file a restraining order” after Bryan burned a Barstool Sports flag on video.
Where They Stand Now
LaPaglia has since sworn off men, telling Page Six in January she’s focusing on herself this year. Bryan, however, hasn’t stayed out of the headlines. After briefly going public with Hannah Duncan in March, his current status with her remains unclear.
Before LaPaglia, the “Something in the Orange” singer was married to Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021 and later dated Deb Peifer from 2022 to 2023.
