Jamie Lee Curtis makes honest Charlie Kirk remark after ‘disagreeing with him on everything’

Kelly WhitewoodBy Kelly WhitewoodSeptember 18, 20252 Mins Read

Jamie Lee Curtis talked about the sad death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in an emotional interview on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. The event happened on September 10 in Utah, where Kirk, 31, died. The FBI has said that the shooting investigation is still going on.

Curtis said he felt bad for Kirk’s family and understood how violent events like this can affect people emotionally. She said that she and Kirk had very different political views, but she focused on his humanity. Curtis called him a “man of faith” and hoped that he felt spiritually connected in his last moments. She made it clear that even though she disagreed with him, she still thought of him as a father, husband, and person who deserved compassion.

Curtis accidentally called Kirk by the wrong name, Charlie Crist, during the interview. He said it was a real mistake. Later, she brought the subject back up and said that the event had weighed heavily on her and made her think deeply about how seeing violent images over and over again affects people in today’s society.

Curtis talked about how society is always exposed to graphic media, like footage of national tragedies, by comparing them to other traumatic events. She asked what effect seeing violent events online over and over again has on people’s mental health and stressed how important it is to be aware of this exposure.

Other famous people also spoke out about Kirk’s death. Chris Pratt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jake Paul, who are all famous people, were among those who publicly sent their condolences. Joe Biden and Barack Obama, both former presidents, spoke out against the violence, with Biden calling for an end to such attacks.

Tyler Robinson, who is 22 years old, is the main suspect in the case and was arrested soon after the event. Authorities are still looking into the reasons behind the event and its wider effects.
