ACM Awards Celebrate 60 Years with Unforgettable Moments and Big Wins

On Thursday, May 8, country music’s biggest stars gathered at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas to honor the genre’s rich legacy at the 60th Annual ACM Awards. Hosted by the legendary Reba McEntire—a 16-time ACM Award winner—the night promised and delivered “unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments” that celebrated country music’s past, present, and future.

Among the highlights of the night was a surprise award announcement that had fans cheering coast to coast.

In true Reba fashion—warm and charming—she interrupted their performance to reveal that their duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” had just won the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year.

The award-winning video, released in August 2024, features a cinematic wild-west theme, directed by Wales Toney, John Park, and Ella Langley herself. The clip includes cameo appearances by country legend Jamey Johnson and Riley Green’s beloved corgi, Carl.

The song, released in June 2024, marked Ella’s first and Riley’s second number-one hit on the Country Airplay chart—and the momentum hasn’t slowed down since.

Ella Langley: 2 Wins Before the Show Even Began
Even before the main ceremony kicked off, Ella Langley had already snagged two major wins, including New Female Artist of the Year. With eight nominations total, she led the pack heading into the night, cementing her status as one of country’s fastest-rising stars.

Visual Media of the Year Nominees Included:

    Lainey Wilson – “4x4xU”

    Cody Johnson – “Dirt Cheap”

Cody Johnson & Carrie Underwood – “I’m Gonna Love You”

Chris Stapleton – “Think I’m In Love With You”

But it was the chemistry, storytelling, and standout visuals of “You Look Like You Love Me” that ultimately claimed the prize.

And the wins may not stop there—the song is also up for Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year.
