Shaboozey Releases Expanded Version of Hit Album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going

After making a huge splash with his third album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going—the record that gave saloons and dance halls the viral hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”—Shaboozey is back with even more music. Released today (April 25), nearly a year after the original album dropped, the Complete Edition offers fans six brand-new tracks.

The album’s standout single, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” famously dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 non-consecutive weeks and earned Shaboozey a Billboard Music Award for Top Country Song.

The New Single: “Amen” Featuring Jelly Roll

Leading the new material is “Amen,” a collaboration with country star Jelly Roll.

Blending an upbeat rhythm with a raw, relatable narrative of struggle and redemption, “Amen” sees Shaboozey confessing past sins while holding onto a sliver of hope.
    He sings:

“Somebody say a prayer for me, ’cause the pills ran out and I still can’t sleep. Somebody send a word upstairs, ’cause the bar’s shut down and I’m God knows where. All I’m asking for is a little mercy, amen.”

Driven by a toe-tapping beat and a spirited choir, the song delivers its message with energy and heart.

Jelly Roll steps in for the second verse, offering a message of perseverance:

“Just hoping I see the day I ain’t ashamed of the man in the mirror, and the man upstairs ain’t either. And I can finally set my life straight and be the man my momma raised.”

To accompany the release, a 35mm-shot visualizer—filmed by concert photographer Brennan Adams—shows Shaboozey and Jelly Roll in candid, vintage-style frames that match the song’s gritty spirit.

Other New Tracks on the Complete Edition

Besides “Amen,” the expanded album features five more new songs, including:

    “Good News” (Shaboozey solo)

“Hail Mary” featuring Americana star Sierra Ferrell

“Blink Twice” featuring British artist Myles Smith

The Complete Edition continues to showcase Shaboozey’s versatility, blending country, Americana, and hints of pop across a set of deeply personal and infectious tracks.
