Nyle DiMarco Wows in Emotional Last Dancing With the Stars Performance
Deaf supermodel Nyle DiMarco received glowing praise for his emotional freestyle routine on Dancing With the Stars Monday night, just ahead of the season finale. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called his performance “the best dance I have ever seen in 22 seasons” after Nyle and his partner Peta Murgatroyd delivered a powerful, emotional routine.
The 26-year-old model from New York executed a moving freestyle routine that had the judges and audience captivated. Bruno Tonioli, visibly moved by the performance, called it “a work of art” and was overcome with “chills,” while Carrie Ann Inaba praised it as “the best dance I have ever seen.”
The routine, choreographed by Talia Favia, was not only a testament to Nyle’s skill but also served as a message of inspiration for the deaf community, incorporating a flaming piano prop as part of the performance. The routine earned a perfect score of 30 from the judges.
In addition to his emotional freestyle, Nyle performed a “cowboy quickstep” as part of his redemption routine, scoring 27 points. Bruno described it as “an exhilarating ride on the pony express,” despite a “tiny loss of precision.” Len Goodman also praised Nyle, saying, “Nyle, you’re one heck of a dancer.”
Other highlights of the evening included a sizzling salsa from UFC fighter Paige VanZant and partner Mark Ballas, which earned a 29, and a captivating 1930s/40s-themed routine from Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy, which also scored a perfect 30.
The finale continues tomorrow night, with Nyle, Paige, and Ginger vying for the title.
