Fans shocked by what was written on Donald Trump’s paper as he bought Tesla

After a quick glance at the piece of paper held by Donald Trump during a White House event, the online community quickly criticized the President for allegedly using his position to save Elon Musk’s billion-dollar “baby” from what he called “radical boycotting.”

Despite previously mocking electric cars and claiming they were only useful “if you have a towing company,” Trump transformed the White House into a Tesla showroom, publicly backing Musk’s electric vehicle empire.

On March 11, several Tesla models were displayed, and Trump took the opportunity to praise Musk while voicing his support for the billionaire’s business. “I’m going to buy a brand-new Tesla,” he told reporters, adding he would pay the “full price,” while highlighting that “everything’s computer.”

The president also accused the “radical left” of trying to boycott Tesla to harm Musk, whose company has faced a significant drop in stock prices.

In a Truth Social post that same day, Trump wrote, “The Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.”

But it wasn’t just Trump’s vocal support for Tesla that caught attention—it was the handwritten note in his hand that truly stole the show.

As Trump toured the Teslas displayed on the White House lawn, an observant photographer zoomed in on the paper he was holding, capturing an image of the document detailing the prices of the electric vehicles.

    The note read:

    Tesla Pricing: Full Self Driving: Model X – $112,490 (silver) CT – $114,000 (Gray) Model S – $108,990 (Blue) Model Y – $59,990 (Red)

Beneath the prices, some additional text hidden by Trump’s thumb read: “Teslas can be purchased as low as $299/month or $35k. All cars have self-driving, just needs to be turned on (fee).”

The internet was quick to react, with many users expressing their disbelief and embarrassment. One Redditor wrote, “I’m always surprised by his ability to make me more embarrassed as an American. Like you’d think there’d be no pride left at this point, but he finds a way to ruin it. He is constantly doing things that would be a full episode of South Park. But it’s reality.”

Another user sarcastically remarked, “Too expensive for the yahoos that voted for him, and they’re so dumb they wouldn’t be able to figure out the control panel anyway.”

A third commenter questioned, “Why is the White House orchestrating an exclusive, live commercial for the richest man on Earth and a specific private sector company?”

According to Unilad, a Reddit user even suggested that Trump should be “impeached” for using “official White House press events to do literal advertisements for his billionaire friends.”

What was intended as a show of support for Elon Musk quickly turned into a viral spectacle. Whether viewed as genuine backing, a PR stunt, or a sales pitch, one thing is certain—the internet won’t be forgetting this moment anytime soon.
