Bailey Hutchins, 26, posted her farewell TikTok from her hospital bed with positivity days before she died with colorectal cancer.
The social media influencer inspired millions with her journey for two years. When she died on February 7, the online community mourned, “crying for a stranger” they had never met.
Caden Hutchins posted devastating news about his 24-year-old girlfriend, Bailey Hutchins, on Instagram on January 31, 2023.
He says, “The past week has been a rollercoaster, Baileys’ health has declined to a point where we had no other option but to bring her into the ER,” revealing that emergency surgery removed part of Bailey’s colon and “determined cancerous.”
“Bailey has Stage 3 colon cancer, so we must fight it. Bailey will overcome this with enthusiasm, tenacity, and determination. The young, healthy, strong woman will battle cancer and defeat it.”
Bailey, a highly regarded TikTok creator and qualified nurse, transformed her own struggles into a powerful message of hope and awareness over the next two years.
Instead of hiding in fear, she used social media to promote early cancer screenings, frank treatment updates, and perseverance and appreciation.
She taught her fans about colon cancer signs, early diagnosis, and treatment in touching videos. Her honesty and unshakeable attitude allowed her to grin, dance, and express thanks even in difficult situations.
‘I live’
It started as Stage 3 cancer but advanced to Stage 4 with peritoneal metastases. Bailey fought hard despite the gloomy prognosis, refusing to let the cancer define her.
As her health weakened in early 2025, she updated her followers until her final post on January 19, a TikTok clip from her hospital bed.
No worries about my hair, I look crazy right now…We’re back with crazy hair,” she says. I really can’t offer any updates about my situation. But I’m here. The worried fans were relieved that she was alive.
Caden, who married Bailey in November 2023, took over her account to update supporters on January 26, saying they were taking things “day by day” and thanking everyone who has supported her.
‘Her tale will endure’
Bailey’s husband posted on social media on February 8 that his 26-year-old wife died the night before.
Last night, Bailey B went to Heaven. Though we wished for her to stay with us forever, we find solace in knowing she is no longer suffering. Caden captions the 10-million-view TikTok clip: Bailey battled so hard these past 2 years.
